Putting Kids First saw a need for an online course early in 2000. The online course was a new concept for co-parenting programs. Parents had moved out of the area where their case was filed or struggled with child- care to attend a class. Offering the course online enabled parents, stepparents, grandparents and others to Put Their Kids First.
Annual records in the 19 years of providing co-parenting courses record a quarter of a million parents successfully completing the Kids First Program. 90% of parents who complete the Kids First program report improvement in their relationship with the other parent. Feedback on the evaluation form has been overwhelmingly positive.
Putting Kids First was developed in 1993 and copyrighted in 1999 to improve the quality of the parental relationship by reducing conflict and impress upon parents the critical role they play in their child’s ability to adjust to the changes in their lives.
Kids First offers extended customer support hours to fit your busy schedule and multiple ways to contact us with questions or concerns. Please use the "contact us" form or call our toll free number.
As state requirements change or are updated, Kids First is contacting local bar associations and reviewing state family codes to ensure that the material presented is the most current and relevant program available. Participants are asked to comment on their satisfaction with the program including whether it was relevant to their situation. Participants are also asked to make comments on how the program can be improved. This feedback is incorporated back into the program design.
